    Lock them in the car!

Put door key in seat bag along with $20, license and credit or debit card, and cell phone. Added license to the list after clerk at LBS refused to accept my credit card for tube purchase because I had no ID.

Aww I'm sure that your body is valuable too...as long as it comes with the bike!

The car? Now why would I lock my stuff in the car when I have a perfectly good house? Why would I lock my stuff anywhere when I can take it with me?

    Good point.

I keep anything I don't need locked in the car or house, and don't take anything extraneous with me. Thats what works for me.

My keys are loose in my Vision Day Bag. I am not really worried about them being stolen. I have an extra set & can get a ride if they are. My liscense, insurance card, LAB membership card, calling card & money is in a denim pouch in the day bag while I ride. When I am off the bike the denim pouch with everything in it is with me at all times.

Keys? Wallet? Why d'ya them for a ride? ID. cellphone, and some $$$. That's it. If I needed to bring keys, I'd just bring the one to either the house or the car. Open the car, hit the garage door opener. Voila!

I wear a dog tag with my ID information on it. I carry my cell phone in my jersey pocket and I have $15 in my seat bag along with my CO2/patch kit/etc.

I try to carry as LITTLE as possible with me.

For commuting to work: ID, house key/bike key, a few bucks.

For grocery errands: same, plus debit card/shopper card.

For multiple errands: full wallet + keys.

All items always in front pockets of ordinary trousers. I did lose my wallet once, like, 25 years ago (I got it back).
