Short pants/Long shorts?

I'm trying to find the name of those pants I see messengers around town wearing. I'd rather not bring extra clothes with me when I commute.

They usually come a third of the way up the calf, are slightly baggy, and have a drawstring at the ankle. I haven't seen any in clothing shops and figured you guys would know the name. If there are specific brands that you can recommend, please do.

Thanks.

Also... knickers... Mountain Equipment Coop has some, these are them...

They look kinda pricey, but remember that's Canadian metric dollars.

I prefer lycra knickers, but that's me...

Lots of guys wear them. Go to a popular beach on the west coast. Skaters, surfers, bmxers all wear them at times.

Girls look better in them though.

They may have discontinued. Besides the MEC stuff is far better quality.
