How to get kids started Mountain bike raceing

I live in georgia and would like any information on how to get my kids started mountain bike raceing,such as were are any events and some of things we would need. Thank you.

Do they want to get involved in racing? Most kids I see just like playing around in an unstructured way, seeing how far they can push things before they get hurt.

Thanks Dirtgrinder the website was just what I was looking for. MichaelW to answer your question,I thought I would take them to a few events and see where it goes from there.
