What do you know about Scattante?

Performance has a deal on a road bike right now, the Scattante R550. I'm going up to their store to test ride one on Saturday that they have agreed to hold until then. Apparently it has all 105 stuff and is on sale for $599. Can anyone here tell me of experiences with Scattante or anything they may know of it? $600 is still a lot of money for a lowly social worker.

    Thanks

I have one (though I bought the xlr frameset, not the 550, but close enough). It's a good bike for the money. Rides a bit rough on the chipseal, but other than that, it's a good deal. Nice square geometry too.

I'm riding this bike. I think it is good enough for this money. I'd only recommend to replace their tyres with something better than Kenda Koncept; I had to patch tubes twice a week until I replaced them. They have a good deal on Vredestein Fortezza SE right now http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...tegory_ID=5420

Keep in mind that you'd also have to spend some money on spare tubes, pump, saddle bag, tools, water bottles etc.

Getting a full 105 bike for $600 is a heck of a deal!
