Last week I bought a new Campagnolo Veloce crankset (170mm 53/39 rings) on eBay for $49 delivered.
While I'm pleased with my eBay purchase, I'm not so thrilled with the United States Postal Service.

Today my package arrived. When I opened it, I found a plastic bag stuffed with a soaking wet ball of cardboard. This is what was printed on the plastic bag.

I removed the dripping ball of cardboard from the bag, and carefully peeled away the slimy paper pulp until I found a crankset.

    Hey postal service, eat me.

I don't get it. So what was the problem? A wet crankset?

The problem is that the lazy-asses at the PO could have at least discarded the shipping box they destroyed instead of giving me a lovely sewer water surprise.

I found the USPS alot more efficient than UPS and Fedex. I sell occasionally on eBay, about 50 items sold, and not one has ever been lost, damaged, maybe a bit late, but its reasonable, but its nothing more than an anecdote.

Another thing I like about the USPS? They count Saturdays as a "business day", whereas UPS and Fedex does NOT along with Sundays, so a three day ground shipping actually is about 5 if you send at the end of the week.
