Too many Mikes...

Seriously, there are way too many users on this forum who share the name "Mike". What gives? Were all our parents creatively challenged? Seriously, search the user name archives in the forums, you find like 50 Mikes.
I have this same problem at school. Sometimes it seem like 30% of males in my high school class have the name "Mike" as well.

To all the Mikes on the forum: Does this bug you too?

Oh well...

Ya, there are too many "mikes".

I kinda wish my parents would have named me "THOR". That would have been cool. Maybe when I don't have to work anymore, I will change my name to THOR.

When I was younger, I promised myself that if I had a son, I would name him THOR.

Oops, I forgot.

Now it is too late.

However, neither of them is "Mike"

it seems funny to me that so many people
would name their sons after the "Angel of Death"
AKA "The Angel of Fire"
In my town ,there is even a old folks home
called Michaelmas Manor, what kind of person names a old folks home
after the "Angel of Death"? tacky

I was named after the Archangle Michael and I was told that Michael means "Messinger of God" .

My mom thought that the name was rare, but when I got to school there was a whole classroom for of Mikes.

Speaking as someone named 'Jeremiah', be glad your name is reasonably common. If one more idiot sings 'Joy To The World' ( Jeremiah was a bullfrog...) to me one more time, I'm gonna kill someone...

I agree on the too many Mike's out there thing. I took Latin in high school. There were 5 of us in the one class.

My best friend from High School, Jo, is a magnet. Right now there are about 10 Mikes that he is friends with. We had to break down to nicknames... Preacher Mike, Bald Mike, Sensitive Ponytail Mike, Gerbil, Spider Mike (me) and many more. It if funny to walk into his shop and most of us are there. It is one loud "Hey Mike".

I'm just glad my dad did not call me Sue.

Quit complaining, Mike.

Try having a name like, "Pete." Or, "Pete Clark."

Fuggettaboutit and have some fun. Do a search on your full name on the net and see how many hits you get.

You'll discover a whole new world of fame!

How about, "Mike Stone?" (aka, "mike," of Bikeforums.)

No offense, but having the first name of Joy is just as painful. Not only do I have to deal with the songs, but people tell me my name doesn't match my personality.
