Returning a bike to Performance

I bought a Scattante R-550 from Supergo late last year. I still have the receipt and paperwork and the bike is basically still new. This bike never fit me right (it is way too big for my build). Would I be able to return the bike to Performance since they are the same company?

It says on Supergo's now defunct website that "Performance Bicycle will accept returns and continue to service all products purchased at Supergo.com." I just wanted to check cause it seems like a grey area to me.

Sorry for the additional post. I think I found my answer. At the bottom of Supergo's website it states "All Supergo.com customers are covered by the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee offered by both Performance Bicycle and Nashbar."

the only problem i have had is just with the size. it seems like a really good bike for the money, but when the guy sold me the bike all he had me do is ride around the parking lot for two minutes as a way to size me. it didn't seem like a right fit then and it didn't get any better (it was really unstable to ride). The worst thing is that the guy seemed like he'd rather be watching paint dry than help me get outfitted with a bike.

i thought is was just me till i decided to get my latest road bike from REI and they measured me plus had me try a few different sizes. i ended up with a 56cm bike from them and they commented that my 60cm bike from performance/supergo might be causing me to "overextend" a little too much.

the bike i have now rocks and i have already put more miles on it than the scattante i bought last year.

When I bought my road bike from Performance last year, they told me I had one month to return it. However, if that's what it says on the Supergo website, I would try to return it to Performance. What do you have to lose? It's certainly worth a try.

I would imagine that since you bought the bike last year (although you said "late last year"), you will have problems. I think it would be difficult to return any product that is not in some unbroken, sealed, package after three to five months. Good luck.
