go up one folder and see news and information. It looks like a server was upgraded and new IP address was given. It takes time for DNS to populate and took longer than some expected. This morning all that came up was cpanel
site.

I understand about withdrawal. I went to another bike forum site this am, shhhhhh

I imagine it will still be pretty intermittent before it gets perfect. Give it time, there is a lot of work Joe is doing on very little sleep and I imagine a heavy dose of redbull.

A new server almost always means new bugs (problems) to work out. The advantage is a new server should increase performance in due time.

Look at the situation as getting a new bike. It takes some time to get everything adjusted to fit you perfectly.

And being on other boards who recently did this upgrade, it is a slow system initially, it took several weeks for some of the speed bugs to be worked out. It ends up faster but takes time to get to that point.

Want "BikeForums" to be available 24/7? Become a financial supporter and help fund the server upgrades and bandwidth necessary to handle thousands of visitors every day. Not willing to provide financial support? Well, if you are getting something for free, you are not really in a position to complain about problems.

Yeah, pretty much Joe started from a very bare Vbulletin setup when the server switch first took.

I remember some of the bugs, and such stuff as the quick reply being gone.

Just give it time, and good things will come. This forum is actually a computer database, and database migrations can be a real pain in the rump at times...so be patient, and let Joe work the magic.

When I came on board late Jan 2006 the speedseem to be normal. For me, it's been very slow since the middle of Feb. I have DSL and don't have a speed issue with other popular sites.
