How can I clean my panniers?

I have nylon panniers and they have some mud spots on them, I would like to clean them, how do I do it? Are they washer safe?

Baby wipes. They'll clean just about anything.
    That's gonna leave a mark.

Thanks MM. I will try baby wipes, if they can clean a baby's rear end, they should be able to handle my panniers.

My BICYCLE paniers are also made of nylon. I've been able to clean them well with just liquid soap and/or water.
