Can I store my bike in the garage?
Hiya,
Can I store my bike in the garage, covered with a bike cover, and prevent discoloration from occuring on the cable running along the top tube and nipples of the spokes?
Thanks in advance,
Suggestions always welcome...

I don't think the OP needs to go to those lengths!
Just the bike being sheltered makes a big difference. As long as he checks for rust/deterioration on a regular basis...and keeps it away from electric motors and the car (to keep rubber from deteriorating with the one, and the bike in one piece with the other), I should see no problem.
Hanging would be a good idea, just to take the bike's weight off the wheels and tires. Especially the latter; once they naturally deflate, the sidewalls of the tires could be damaged by the weight of the bike (because they'd be creased or folded over) if the wheels are still carrying it at that time. Keeping the tires inflated would prevent that, but who pumps up the tires of an unused bike all that often?
