Approaching a milestone

Very soon, perhaps today or tomorrow, Bike Forums will reach the 10,000-post mark!

Any suggestions for a celebration? Like maybe awarding a nice new bike to each of the top ten posters? A pizza party? A few extra minutes' sleep? What do you think, Joe?

JonR, have you been counting every post since the conception of BikeForums.com? Man, I think you need a break.

10,000 !!!

Let's see.....

10,000 "bottles of beer on the wall" sung ad nauseum

10,000 revolutions of our tires...quick somebody get a calculator, How far would that be???

10,000 beers... We'd have to pitch in on that one!

Maybe a "distributed" club ride, to mark the event? Ride reports for anything noteworthy?

Let's see...assumimg a 700c wheel, 10,000 revs would be approximately...13.1 miles (or 21.1 kilometers, if you swing that way).

It is way too obvious that I have nothing to do with my time.

I can definitely tell the difference in the frequency of postings. I can't even keep up. Every time I finish answering a thread a new one appears. Keeping up with all the posts in here is such hard work.

I can handle it! 13.1 miles We can all do that for BFC and then have a

As for "nothing to do with my time"... Cycling is HIGH priority stuff, so it was a worthy cause to do the calculations. Thanks!

Your right, it probably wouldn't go over very well during an interview.

OK, I know it's 4:31 AM Central Time here in the (non-snowy) Midwest US, but surely I'm not the only member that enjoys the glorious benefit of insomnia!

Aw--you're probably all scrubbing your derailleurs with toothbrushes, getting ready for weekend rides, right?

Right?

Come on! Only twelve posts to go till number 10,000!

If I wasn't such a scrupulous, kind, honest, above-board, restrained person, I'd post twelve myself, right now.

I understand Joe has a great surprise for whoever posts no. 10,000--then again, I'm probably wrong.
