Haro warranty sucks!
A few years ago I got a Haro V4 mtn bike, size XS. I was a beginner mtn biker (still am) and I don't mtn bike a whole lot. I rode the bike maybe a couple dozen times, never crashed it. I'm a chicken mtn biker, so if it looks scary, I get off and hike-a-bike.
Last winter I was cleaning it and found a vertical crack in the head tube. What???? As a 105 lb rider, I've never even knocked a wheel out of true! Took it to my local Haro dealer to warranty the frame. This was back in Dec '05. It's what, May now? No new frame yet. What is up with Haro? Does it really take 6+ months to get a frame replaced? The manager at the LBS is a buddy of ours and has been repeatedly calling Haro and has been told more than once that a new frame is on the way. I'm getting to be (am?) a rather disgruntled customer with Haro. I've tried emailing Haro through their website, but emails keep getting bounced, saying that they "don't read their emails anymore due to the overwhelming popularity of their website, and go see your local Haro dealer." Guess they don't care about their customers anymore. I'm glad I've gone and bought another mtn bike, not a Haro, to be sure. |
Wow. That's good to know. I use a V1 as my kinda all condition casual bike.

Good luck on your frame replacement. |
Maybe you should ask you LBS for the name and phone number they call and start harassing them on the phone.
