I play decent bass and 6 string guitar and also fool around on the drums. Currently I'm working on writing/recording an album and getting in some serious miles on the bike. I have a lot of time because I quit the nice paying job that bought the nice bike and all the nice musical equipment. Doh! Before I decided to become a rock-star I was a chemist that was known for formulating some of the best cleaning chemicals in the land.

I'm a guitarist, just for fun. I worked for a musical instrument wholesaler and then a retail music store. I had to leave the music store for my own sanity. It was great being able to play and handle musical instruments as a part of your job!

I worked with a couple of local bands for a while as a roadie/babysitter. If you have worked with rock bands you know what I mean.

I got sick of breathing and smelling like cigarette smoke all the time so I kind of got away from all of that.

I don't play as much anymore (you see, I'm married now too. )
so I'm not the player I once was.
BTW, since guitarists love talking about their gear, I play a 1992 PRS CE24 with a tortoise top through a Laney 35 watt combo and a Digitech RP-1 effects unit.
I haven't bought any new gear since '92 since I started cycling in '94 all of my money/time goes into bike stuff.

i'm definitely a better cyclist than musician...

however, i play guitar [blues mostly, some easy jazz] and the flute [the instrument, along with piano and violin that i was actually trained on] and harmonica and various and sundry stringed and wind instruments related to the above.

mostly, i listen to music.

Im the proud owner of a '77 Gibson marauder, Stop laughing!! An '83 Sigma DM12... which is just starting to Honey up nicely.
And a Custom (homemade) P/J bass that needs a soldering iron taken to it, and it'll be ready to go! (its been in construction for 17 years by the way...)
But since the family started to grow, I dont get enough time to play much any more at all.

I play drums and am also a vocalist. Right now I'm not in a band, but I was in a death/black metal band as the vocalist and had a blast doing it. We were brutal, taking influence from bands like Extol, Cryptopsy, Living Sacrifice, Bolt Thrower, and several others. We started getting serious, we were beginning to look into recording, getting a record deal, and getting a van to start touring, but then it just kindof fell apart. I've more recently been jamming on drums with some guys, but nothing serious has come out of it. I've seen several of my friends and their bands get signed and start releasing albums, so that makes me want to do it even more, but right now I guess it's not in God's will. Hopefully I'll get something more serious started after I graduate from school.

I am something of a closet guitarist. Other than the occasional acoustic jam with friends, my playing goes mostly unheard. I also grew up playing trumpet...jazz band, marching band, the whole gig.

Piano, primarily Romantic Period classical (Beethoven to Rachmaninov). I have also done some piano tuning (not unlike wheel truing!) and restoration.

I play the cello. I used to be pretty into it, but the bike and school have pretty much taken my life. I play in the school orchestra, and I enjoy it.

I play the classical guitar - nylon strings all the way

Been playing for a couple years. I'd probably call myself an "intermediate player". Had a short flirtation with the piano and violin as well...although those weren't by choice

I play cello (used to be fairly capable), Classical Guitar (ditto on that nylon thing, although 12 string is fun to play Kottke tunes on), Harmonica, and am learning piano (my wife teaches me).

I play acoustic guitar (my friends always make fun of me for hating electrics). I've been playing for 2 years and I'm alright, although I rarely do anything more than jam with a couple friends from my church. I fgure I'll get really good, then "come out of the closet" so to speak.

Even if I never get really good, it gives me something to work on in the winter, when I can't go biking.

I play guitar and sing. I've written a few songs, primarily contemporary Christian music. I tinker with the banjo a bit, but I'm a much better guitarist and cyclist. I own two Martin (acoustic) a D35 and D28. I have recorded some and it has given me the opportunity to play mostly on the east coast, but once I was given the opportunity to go to Rome, Italy.

I play the trumpet in my church orchestra and jazz band. The orchestra is a 46 piece orchestra -- not bad for a church group. I didn't play for about 15 years then picked up the horn again about 3 years ago. The lip is coming back as demonstrated when our orchestra played a salsa version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman". It would have kicked my butt 20 years ago but not this time! I think I peeled some paint off of the walls!

I am no musician, but due to the nature of my work (sound engineer) I work with many on a daily basis. I have done sound work (parden the pun) in Denmark for Joe Cocker and Andrew Strong (the voice behind the Commitments)
Next month I'll be working with Nana Mouskouri. Anyone remember her??!!

This is me
