i was thinking because you need carbs and fiber, mabey a bowl of mini wheats with a load of honney on it? anything to eat on the go to get some extra energy? i only want to know stuff i can eat from home because energy bars dont last me long, i usually eat them when im bored and not even biking

Peanut butter and honey sandwiches, on what every kind of bread you like. I make these for a treat when Wife and I are done riding a long distance, say twenty miles. (I'm not a long distance kind of person). Maybe we should eat them BEFORE the ride, eh?
Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.

Depends on the Ride length. If out for only a couple of hours, then a breakfast of some description will suffice. If out for a 4 hour- then anything that is Carbo- hrdrate as a snack during the ride will assist. Cereal bars- Dried fruit- even a sandwich. Now if you about to do that special long ride or you mean to hammer it--Then start carbo loading a week before- Plenty of pasta- rice- bread- potatoes etc will build up the Carbo hydrates in the body and will last for a few hours into the ride.

Best out of the lot is to do a good thrash to a Cafe- Have breakfast there and a steady ride home.
How long was I in the army? Five foot seven.
