jamis diablo - worth buying?

I am totally unfamiliar with mtn bikes. I have been advised to get a used brand name bike instead of going to walmart. What do you guys think of this one:

Thanks.

Dude, pass on that deal. Go to Two Wheel Drive or Bike World in Albuquerque and you can pick up a 2006 model MTB for around the same price.

Thanks for the repy.

Here is a little more detail on what I am looking for. I do contract work, so I have to move every 5-7 months. I am looking for a used bike so that I can re-sell it for about $50-$70 difference when leaving Albuquerque.

Any advice on used bikes will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

How do you plan to use the bike, Sajid? Off road for trail riding, or jumping/stunts, or for riding on the streets, or all of those?

Reason I ask--how you plan to use it makes a big difference in the kind of bike you need, and impacts its resale value. And if you get a bike that is just right, and fits you, you may want to keep it! Sell the TV and stereo and keep your bike.

Hi Bobcat,
I plan on using it on trails (mostly in-city) and occasionaly commute. I would say exercise / fun combo bike. And believe me, I do not have a TV or a stereo. My main luggage is computer related junk (which is also my work). I really need to buy something that have a good re-sale. Thanks.
