Those $10 Home Depot safety glasses actually cost $8 +tx. They are polycarb and UV good. They fit perfectly, never slip, and have no sharp 'injection mold' edges that dig in. They do fog a little when I stop, but then, I don't stop for long.
I remember, with pain, when I paid $370 for a pair of prescription sunglasses for salmon fishing. I promptly lost them, only to find them a year later. They had slipped between the seat cushions where I looked 100 times. Completely destroyed by grit rubbing on the lenses. Never again.
Stupidity is painful - and expensive.

Can you tell if the optics are decent? I don't know weather to go the cheap route or spring for a pair of Oakleys or Rudy Projects.
Too bad they don't make polarized safety glasses. Then I'd have the best of both worlds.

both good eye protects and dollars in your pocket. Per my earlier post these "Solar Shield"
brand are the real deal for doctor recommended eye protection. You will find none better for
the price. None better.

I use shooting glasses. I picked up my latest at xmart, 3 lenses (clear, yellow, dark blue) and adjustable. I prefer the yellow for most of my riding, especially at night.
