Toronto Group Rides?
HellooOOOooOO!
I'm looking for a cycling group in Toronto or some club that does group rides. The only group I've managed to find is the Toronto Bicycle Network. Here's my problem with what the TBN offers:
Their weekday rides start at 6:30, and I work until 6:00pm (Tue - Sat).
This leaves me free basically only for Monday and Sunday rides. I've yet to find a ride scheduled for Monday. Their Sunday rides are usually 60+km/h and require a considerable commute with your bike just to get to the meeting point. I'm more interested in rides in the 40km range, preferrably in the city (either on surface roads or trails).
There are a few rides I've seen posted on their website that I wouldn't mind attending, except that I can't get there on time or the entire ride is planned to be too long or too fast.
Is this the only group in Toronto? It seems weird that in a city this size there aren't other groups organizing rides. Am I just looking in the wrong places? Does anyone know of anywhere else I can turn to?
