Tonight's Date by Bicycle!
My wife and I went out to dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant tonight. We rode our bikes. She's riding more and more nowadays! Anybody else dating with bicycles? Wife or unmarried?

Yes but don't tell my wife I don't think she'd appreciate me dating again.

He'll get up at 5a to go at warp speed with the hammerheads but I can't pry him from the tv to ride around town with me

When I go ride with my girlfriend, I usually slow down a bit to let her think she's getting ahead, then I slam it into my 53x12 and drop her like a stone. It's fun but she usually gets back at me by not giving me any when I get home.

When I first met my wife we dated for a whole summer on bikes. And today, seventeen years later, the family went biking for Father's day!

Met my wife at a club ride, I was riding home after the ride and had a flat. She was in her car and stopped to help. 6 months later we went dutch for a tandem. Her bridal registry was at Nashbar(kidding) This September will be 18 years.

I've heard anecdotes about people taking moms onto their dates. But it's the first time I hear about someone taking his wife to a date.

Back when we were childless and newly married, Mrs. Caloso and I used to ride our bikes to the Rivercats games. They have free bike valet parking and we'd be home while most folks were still fighting their way out of the parking lots.

capejohn,
Nice pics and commentary. You should start a separate thread. They're kind of lost in this one, and I'm sure others would be interested. It's too bad those bystanders got in the way of some of the camera shots. I was really wondering what was behind them.
