Hi, I am new so forgive me if this is the wrong place to place this post. I am an avid cyclist and have a few events scheduled for this year. Morse Metric on Sunday, TOMRV in June, Bikejournal.com Reunion in July, RAGBRAI also in July and LIVESTRONG Challenge in August.

I am trying to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation! Has anyone had a lot of success at fundraising for their cycling events? If so, what did you do? What's your secret? I am all ears! I know a lot of people do the MS150, but don't hear a lot about how everyone goes about fundraising for their event. Or does everyone reach the minimum to participate and leave it at that? Frustrated here in Indy!

Just ask a lot of people. If someone says they'll be glad to sponsor you and forgets, make sure to remind them -- as long as you're pleasant about it, they'll be glad you did.
