Cyclometer placement with aero bars?

Well, I just slapped some aero bars on my Trek 1500 (I do a lot of straight miles in the country, and I think I'll like them). But now I have no room for my cyclometer? It won't fit between the bars because the arm pads will drop onto it, and it won't fit outside the bars because I won't be able to see it.

The only place I can think it'll fit is on the top of the aero bars, but I don't think I like that idea.

Anyone have pics of a way to mount them or jerry-rig a spot for them?

Keep in mind, I'm not much of a wrench - the extent of my skills is basic maintenance and the recent installation of clipless pedals! (Which I LOVE.)

Out on the point of the extentions would be the logical place to me.

On the very top? That might work. I just need to thicken that up a bit for the clamp to stay on....

Get a Nob and strap it on the bars. Your computer mounts to the Nob.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ance&n=3375251

Or, ask your LBS.

Mount it on the stem. Not sure what brand you have but Cateye can send you an adapter to do this. I'm sure other brands do, also. To me, it makes a lot more sense to mount it on the stem even if you don't have aero bars.

Except your bike computer most likely will not fit in that narrow space between the two clamps from the aerobars.

To the OP: either ride without a computer (easiest) or buy that computer mount. Profile makes one for their aerobars which will fit your forte bar, which is really just a profile Century knockoff.

I really like riding with the computer, so I'll probably put it up on the tip of the aerobars for now and order a mount to put it on the aerobars or stem. Thanks all for the help!
