BikeForums Jersey #2 design submission is OPEN!

Hello,

I'm starting a new thread because the old one is just plain confusing now.

The first order of BF jerseys has gone out, and while we wait for our jerseys to come in, and for those that missed the last order, let's start seeing some new designs.

Submission deadline will be November 1st. On that date, I will create another poll so we can decide on the 2nd (and probably last, as far as my involvement) Bike Forums jersey.

The designer that wins the votes will get a FREE jersey! Joe (forum janitor) will also get a FREE jersey.

So, post away your designs in this thread!

Maybe you should slow it down a bit and let the other ones circulate first. Having multiple versions out ruins the "exclusivity" of have a "team" jersey.

It wouldn't get enough use. I don't even have "special" pedals w/ matching shoes Just a little ditty bag under my seat for my keys, wallet, and smokes and I'm good to go. My local jaunts are done in civi shorts and a T, when I do a R2T ride I put on the "Bike" shorts and a T. Just because I'm not an OCP type, dosen't mean I can't represent. There's a lot of freds we could reach

I'll see what I can do about coming up with a design when I get back in town next week. worker4youth, thanks again for helping get the ball rolling. If there's a way to help out here or there, let me know.

Maybe wait until the weather starts to turn a bit colder here in the Northern Hemisphere.

People will be itchin' for anything jersey related come November/December. Will be a fun thing to discuss, debate, and vote.

Can't wait to see what comes up!

I would like to suggest that 9 days before the poll might be too short to generate the interest or design variety needed.

I know I was onsidering the other one, then when I checked the thread I missed the cutoff so my decision was made...

I understand that setting deadlines gets things rolling, but 9 days doesn't give me enough time to consider whether I would want to get one in my current size, my anticipated size for next year's Covered Bridges ride, or my target size... and no, I won't buy all three.

Also, depending on the number of possible designs, I think a two stage voting proccess would work well. For example with 10 potential designs, have an initial vote. Unless there is a clear winner (> 50% of vote) then there should be a second vote with the top 2 or 3 designs. This may help increase interest and sales by a few kits. For example, if all the people who wanted the fourth place jersey would have chosen the second place jersey instead of the winner, we would in effect get wider acceptance of the winning design with a second vote by finding that more people like the original second place than the first place.

Velomancer, I like that design. Looks cool. And it sticks to the Bike Forum "feel".

I ordered the last one and wouldn't mind this one.

Good effort. For comparison, how about something more subtle? For me, your design has too much yellow/gold and too many BikeForums.net banners.
