There are no stupid questions, right? x)

I haven't ridden a bike regularly in years. Now I'm riding one and I can't seem to find the natural "this is right" spot to put my feet on my (regular flat) pedals that seemed so instinctive when I was a kid. (How hard can it be? Feet on pedals, push, go! Sheesh!) It just feels funny.

My seat is currently a good deal too low, and I'm going to pedal down to the LBS to get that fixed tomorrow (I don't have any tools at all yet) so maybe that has to do with it, and I'll find the natural "sweet spot" on my own after that.

In the meantime: what part of my feet are supposed to be on the pedals? (Remember, class, there are no stupid questions. Although this might be a contender.)

Somewhere along the line I turned into someone who, if I can get it straight in my brain, then I can get it right with my body, but sometimes it won't work the other way around.

The ball of your foot is supposed to be over the pedal spindle. Some like it just a hair (up to 1cm) forward of the spindle.

Thank you! That's what I thought I remembered, but it still doesn't feel quite right. Must be the seat being too low. We'll see after I get it moved up a bit tomorrow. :)

Thanks. :)
