I guess there IS a God...

At the risk of revealing just how stupid I can be, I thought I would pass on this bit of information for all of you out there with aerobars. On our ride this morning, a group of three of us were riding in a paceline with a bit of a tailwind. We were cruising at about 23-24 mph. I was pulling using my aerobars. I look up ahead and see something laying on the road near the side. Not thinking, I moved my right arm to point out the object. When I did, I changed my balance and veered to the left, crossing the opposite lane. I couldn't seem to recover my balance until I left the road and got into the grass. I didn't fall and was finally able to regain control. Fortunately, it was early in the morning and there was absolutlely NO traffic, or the result could have been tragic. Needless to say, the adrenalin was pumping and the HR shot up. Other than some well deserved kidding and feeling pretty STUPID, all turned out well. Beware of quick movements when using aerobars. I should have just shouted out a warning...

Doing stupid things with all your mates around to see it happen is as easy as falling off a bike- Or is that the Clipless pedal thread.
