Worst bike color?

Another thread discussed favorite bike colors. what is your least favorite?
My vote goes to the Colnago Euro-flash peacock show-off paint jobs. Anyone else find them as loathsome as I do?

The bright orange Treks from the early 90's were pretty bad.

Cannondale has a color called Tangelo.

I don't know if I hate the name or the color.

In the early 80's I had a Panasonic MTB that was white with electric "pink" cables and an electric turquoise and pink decals. Very Miami Vice like.

My bontrager Privateer S Mtb is painted in garish orange, lacklustre cream and silly baby blue. Someone mentioned to me once that these were the colours of a NFL football team. Bad very bad colour permutation, I think I will paint it electric bile green someday.

Shiny? Or do you just mean bright? I'm not into bright but I am into shiny. For me, lack of shine means lack of clearcoat. Lack of clearcoat means lack of protection for my steel or carbon frames. Scratches in steel can lead to rust. Scratches in carbon can lead to catastrophic failure. So for me, lack of shiny can kill me.

You can't hate the name cause tangelos are tasty.

But you can dislike the color.

Every time I think a bike color is ugly it always ends up growing on me.
25 years ago a friend bought a Colnago Super in metallic gold; I thought it was too gross and tacky for words--just reassembled a customer's bike painted in the exact same shade and it looked fantastic. I can repeat this about fifteen times over for different shades, it always happens.

In 1970 Chrysler painted there "Hemi-cuda" that color and called it MONSTER FLESH GREEN.

You would think that that color would die a final death at some point.

So far it seems to be green and orange.Trek tried to replace a 99 hybrid i had that the frame broke with the next year model,a 00 ,the worst geen in the world. The one that broke was a very nice ice blue and i said wrong.Well all we have is a brand new 01 that just came in,a silver and i said i'll take it.It worked for me but that green was, well i cant think of the right word.

Mopar always did have the coolest colors with the BEST names LOL

Yes I am secretly an old car / kustom nut. They're old, there aren't a lot of them left on the road and most of the kustoms these days are running much cleaner drive systems than half the new SUV's on the market.
Worst color? Those god awful Miami-Vice bikes we were subjected to in the 80's Pink, Purple and teal should NEVER be used in concert with each other. <valley girl voice> Like gag me with a spoon!! Grody to the max! </annoying voice>

Wanna make you sick? In 1970 I refused to buy that Monster Flesh Green Hemi-cuda NEW, because the dealer wanted $73.00 per month and the most i was willing to go was $70.00!!!!

I know of one lady who had her brand-new Bianchi repainted dark blue because she disliked Celeste #217. In Italy (and probably most of Europe), that would be a travesty!

I like Bianchi Celeste, even though my Bianchi is metallic "Ralph Lauren brown," a colour which has gradually grown on me, perhaps because my wife, an oil painter and art teacher, thinks it looks elegant.

White.

I just don't like the look of an all white bike.

But then, I'd buy white before orange.

So...ORANGE!

The binanchi toothpaste color is pretty hideous. I wouldn't buy a bianchi just because of that alone.

Naw the Hemi-cuda had a major flaw, that why there are not many left. A little over 500hp, automatic tranny and a positrack rearend. If you gave it any gas going around a corner, it would launch in a straight line INTO what ever was nearest. Death-on-a stick, man!!
