2nd chance offer on a bike that I lost by $200, with 8 other people with higher bids than mine, with a email that didn't match the original ad, with feedback on the highest bidder that said great buyer, quick payment, I emailed the address on the original ad and he said he knew nothing about the second chance.

Yeesh, that is definitely good information to know. Phishing is definitely getting to be be a major concern these days, especially targetted phishing, rather than general mass-mail scams.

Makes me wish eBay had an option to something like SecurID authentication where you type your username and password in, as well as a number off the token. Heck, even America Online used to offer this service to its members a couple years back.

I thought some smelly hippies invaded your house and played a 20-minute song.
