I hate UPS- Latvian Edition!
 

I can't beleive this. I'm expecting a package of cycling stuff from the States (I'm in Latvia) to be deleived to my house via UPS. In the morning someone from UPS calls and asks if there will be someone home all day. Yes, there will I tell them. Okay.

Five o'clock rolls around and no package. I call UPS. The UPS guy says that the driver was there and no one was home. I say that someone was home all day, and I was at home at 16:18 when he said the driver stopped by my house. Of course there was no note from UPS. UPS guy had no explination of the lack of note. UPS guy tries to tell me that someone will be by with the package tomorrow. No way I said; you were susposed to be here today and I expect you here today. I'm not waiting around again. Then he says I can come and pick the package up myself. WTF? Then he tells me that all the drivers have gone home. BS, I've had UPS packages delivered at 20:00 before. Finaly he agrees to have someone deliver the package tonight.

I call back UPS and speak to another person to find out what really happened. It turns out that the UPS driver COULDN'T FIND MY HOUSE, SO HE SAID THAT NO ONE WAS HOME!! WTF is that?! I live in the city, on a street that is on all the maps, with my house number on the gate AND on the house. I live less than 5km from the UPS office. Incredible.

Some how DHL, DPD, and the pizza guy can find my house but UPS can't. And this isn't the first time UPS has screwed the pooch here in Latvia. Grrrrr.

I get the same crappy service from UPS here in Wisconsin. First it's "Can't locate your street" so they mail me a postcard vis USPS and that gets here just fine. Then it's "We left it at your door." when they actually left it at someone elses door two blocks away. UPS can not be trusted to get your package to you. I've never had a problem with USPS or FedEx.
