Ive killed my legs!

I rode a 34 mile run today. Started at 9:20am and finished at 3:35pm. It was in the Cohutta Wilderness area on a 17 mile turnout road. I bit off more than I expected by the time it was over. I took enough food, but was very low on GatorAid/water by the end. I got dehydrated pretty bad and the last 9 miles was all I could do to keep going. i had no choice though but to make it back to the car as I was alone. I didnt think 30 someodd miles would be bad, but I didnt relize how much climbing would be involved and how that would add up during the day. It was colder than i expected, the road was muddy all the way through which made peddeling tough. I now feel like I have the flu and my head is killing me. My legs are like jelly....I can barely walk. Im glad this happened as I now know what my limits are and can judge future rides alot better. Gotta get to bed!!
Good ride all in all.

Great ride! I might suggest a recovery ride when you get up to help with the DOMS effect.

Just think how strong your legs will be next week.

Just imagine what you could have done, had you had the proper hydration.
