Purchases You Talked Yourself Out of

What bike stuff(s) that wanted to buy, but you pulled out at the last moment( ). In the last few months

I'll start

Flyte $99 frame on eBay
Good deal, but I don't have the budget to build it to a decent bike.

Forte Titan Wheelset at Performace for $139
Almost pulled the trigger on this one, but I convinced myself to save up for a better wheelset.

My road bike has a set of Shimano 105 brakes that I bought in about 1989. I keep looking at those new Campy skeleton brakes and have almost bought them several times. I don't need them; I just want them.

A HID light. Decided to repair my cheapy halogen instead.
I have way too many items that I need. No need to spend my budget all on a light.

That would be none. I'm good at talking myself into, not out of, purchases.

A polished aluminum gold rush from Easy Racers. I saw one at the factory and it definately inspired my lust. But, no, don't need it. bk

Last year I talked myself out of a top quality lamp that was offered to me on a ride at a discounted price by the Manufactureres- Decided to stay with the Halogens. This year had to bite the bullet and get the good lamp. Still got a deal but not as good as last year.
