    Helmet Statistics

I am doing a project for my Statistic class and would like to ask fellow BF members if they wear a helmet and what type of biking do you do the most?

My time is short for this project and your responses will be greatly appreciated.

    My response:
    1. I wear a helmet
    2. I ride mostly bike trails and roads.

Edit: My reason for this subject. I went bicycling in Manila with BF member Boyet and he asked me if I took a bike helmet with me everywhere I went. My answer was yes and this got me to thinking how many other BF members do the same.

    1. Yes, I wear a helmet.
    2. I bike mostly on city streets, and the occasional bike path.

Would a moderator correct my spelling of helmit to helmet in the title? I will blame it on jet lag!! LOL.

The easy way to do this is with the poll feature.

    I wear a Helmet.
    I mainly ride streets.

I find a Helmet far more important on MUPs than I do on the street. I've seen far more low speed yet serious consequence accidents on the paths, even though I ride a lot more on streets.

I wear my helmet even on the 3 minute ride to the neighbourhood grocery store. I don't get on my bike without it.

    I rarely wear a helmet.
The majority of my cycling is on the road, the rest on trails.

I always wear a helmet. At this point, I'm always on a road, a dirt road, or a dirt shoulder.

Helmet on all rides. My head has a habit of bouncing off of hard objects. I find the helmet keeps me from getting any dumber than I already am.
I now ride on roads almost 100% of the time, but used to ride for many years on trails and just rode on the roads to get to a trail.

Of course in the 80's I didn't wear a helmet....and neither did just about anyone else. Heck, we didn't even wear seatbelts and the only airbag in the car was the mother in law sitting next to you.

    1. I always wear a helmet. I've done so since long before it became a policy of my club to require them on club rides.
    2. My riding is 99.99% roads.

    1. On the roads I always wear a helmet. Off road rarely, although my off road is usually on empty dirt roads.
    2. 75% road (commuting) 25% knocking around the farms around here.
