Map of all roads cycled
I'm interested in making a map that highlights all the road I've ever cycled on.
I am aware of several online methods of mapping a specific route, but this is not what I am wanting as I'd want an overlay of all routes and no need for data on distances or elevation, etc.
All I want is something like taking a road map and using yellow highlighter to trace a road. I've done this on paper maps, but due to differences in scale and being able to trace localities that are far away this is not really practical - so I thought I could find some online tool for this.
Any ideas?
Al

Every lane is a bike lane
multimap.com can probably provide the maps you're after, although I'm not sure how you'll go editing them.

I would like to do the same, but with color coding to reflect road surface - red for rimbuster, orange for worse than normal, yellow for better than normal, and green for smooth. If other riders in the area could contribute their experience it would make a useful route planning tool.

Microsoft MapPoint will do that. You can highlight any road with a yellow marker and add as many individual segments as you like.
