Bikepro.com???
I have run across this site via several searches and it has piqued my curiosity. It appears (at least in the sections I've seen) to have no information on anything later than the mid 90's. Which, makes it a good resource for info on gear from that era of course, but I was thinking - there must be a story here. Anyone know anything about bikepro?
Thanks

They were forced out of business due to aledged "credit card fraud." They were taking orders and billing the credit card before the item was delivered -- was backordered.
I don't know all the details -- but they went out of business.
I personally operate eBikero.com where I sell cycling shareware.

bikepro had an unbelievable, encyclopedic paper and online catalog their last couple of years. Never heard about fraud and never bought anything from them but I still have one of their catalogs for old time's sake. Curious to see how long the website's pages will linger on the internet. I always thought that they must've spent all their operating funds on catalog production.

Thanks for the replies. It's interesting that the site is still out there (with modern active ads including a "sponsored by" one) - it's sort of a trip back in time. And there is excellent information there if you are interested in the mid-90's stuff. I guess someone has enough interest to keep it out there.
