I think that they retail for a s***load.
EDIT: I was thinking of the $20,000 plain looking porsche bike, I think yours still might be a thousand or two though, but then again that may not translate to current value.

Also you'd probably get more responses at the mountain biking forum.

The new one with Dura-Ace is 2,900 Euros. It's sold as an "accessory"

You, me, and my GMC Denali should go for a ride someday. :)

I own a Porsche bike. It was actually made by a German company called Votek. Actual retail list for mine was supposed to be around $2,200 but I paid less than half of that. It's an OK bike. It's the most stable and direct steering bike that I've ever owned but it's a little on the heavy side, and was definitely never worth $2,200. I like it because I'm not at all serious about mountain biking, it's kind of a conversation piece, and nobody else has one like it.

On the other hand, those Cadillac bikes look decent. Don't know how much they run for though.

Ive been told by bike shops its worth big cheese. Its such a nice riding bike and looks really futuristic compared to most bikes. It does make a nice conversation piece. I paid $50 bucks for it and around $200 for a full tune up with new tires etc etc. Im more than likely going to keep it. Ill keep it on my coffee table in the living room as a conversation peice...lol..j/k.

You already know is was made by Amp Research. It was a high end bike in the mid '90s, but as with most things, it's woefully outdated. The linkage fork, with its multitude of pivots, was known to wear out much faster than its telescoping counterparts. The performance of the primitive disc brakes allowed V-brakes to rule the roost for the next several years. The rear end, with its Horst Link, is still current, although the shock is not.

For $50, it was a steal, and I'd bet it has collector value now and well in to the future.

as far as gimmicks go, I prefer the All Wheel Drive Jeep bicycle.
