Wondering if there is any way to protect myself.
I have had some problems with having my valve removed from my tire. I live in Korea and it is a woods valve. I know most of you have never seen one, but they come out easy.
Second time it happened was last night. They only cost a buck at the LBS but I have to walk my bike there.
Pretty sure it is just kids pranks. the whole rack of bikes were missing valves.
I was thinking of smearing black ballpoint pen ink on the cap so at least they might ruin their stupid school uniforms.
Any suggestions?

There's also a greasy blue substance used in machine shops to mark high spots. It's called Prussian Blue, and gets on everything.

I use the exact same thing at home on my fence to keep kids from climbing over it. It's a water based blue dye that the guys in the press room use for spotting a new die, man is that stuff fun.

switch to Schraders? or Prestas. and you could carry a pump too, and a spare tube.

I was thinking the same. they would still be able to empty the air, although the schrader might stump them? the presta would be easy!
And I did bring my pump today, and somewhere I have a pocket full of woods valves I just don't remember which coat!
Thanks for the suggestions.
I guess there isn't a locking valve cover eh?
I'm gonna go down later today and knock heads!

The best thing to do with a woods valve is replace it with a schrader - or presta with an adapter in the rim. That's what I did on my Biria, which came with woods valved tubes. They're just not worth the hassle. I think Biria got a good deal on the tubes...
