I'm back!!!
Hi everyone!
I hope you all remember me. I was the gal who wanted to learn how to ride a bike. It's been a while, I know. So many things have happened in the last while. Great news though. I LEARNED TO RIDE A BIKE!!!!!!!! YAHOO!!!!!!! It took about 10 minutes to get used to being on the bike and 5 minutes to actually ride it. I feel like I've really accomplised something big. I learned to ride while participating in a family camping trip called Boundless Adventures. We were up in northern Ontario and it was beautiful. I also learned to swim (although I still need some work). The last day I even completed a mini triathalon. My new friends even made me a medal. I'm so glad I got to do the things I wanted to do. Now, I need a bike!
talk to yas soon!

GREAT NEWS!! So glad to see you back here on BF! I have been wondering how your quest for a bike has been going. Good deal that you have learned how to ride, keep it up, believe me, you will enjoy it!
Have you gotten moved now? Is there a bike shop nearby? Knowing what I know now, I would start hanging around the bike shop wheneven I could, and keep your eyes open for a good used bike. Once the folks at the LBS know what you are looking for, they might even help find just the right bike for you! So far, all of my bikes are used ones, and they have been terrific values!
Keep us posted on how things are going for you!

Congratulations, Angel Eyes! That's fantastic.
I, too, would recommend looking for a good used bike. You can get a good deal, and a bike with better features for less than the cost of a cheaper new bike.
