A dark color like black or blue because its not noticeable?
Or a bike that is bright orange or yellow...maybe Celeste green because it IS noticeable?

BTW, when someone tries to jack your bike... how does that go? Do they run up next to you as your going? at a stoplight? while at the 7-11? never happened to me... so im wondering what to look for.

Anything but white. That's based on when I got a 10 speed years ago when in junior high school. The Raleigh came in blue or white, and the white was $20 less because no one wanted a white one.

The streets of Santa Cruz all have sand on them. That and the salt air just trashes bikes in no time. The hand me downs end up at the family vacation house. They turn to crap in 3-4 years. I've gotten rid of many by just leaving them out somewhere. Flat tires and all. bk

Any color.
They'll probably repaint it any way.
Or ride it a few hour and just dump it.

I am undecided between the color of the bike which is poorly locked up or not locked up, or the color of the bike that ends up getting shipped to another state, then slapped on ebay or local Craigslist there.
