Giant FCR?

Hi - I haven't done any serious riding for quite a few years (my current bike is a Panasonic PT-3500), and I'm looking for a new, lighter, and more comfortable bike to use for general fitness riding. I'm seriously thinking about the Giant FCR1, but I'm not familiar with the components on today's bikes. Can anyone here offer their opinions on the Giant FCR line? Also, do they normally sell for MSRP, or do dealers discount them?

Thank you,
Matthew

Depends on the dealer. I could probably get a bit off, but I stick very close to one dealer. It's probably a little late to catch the end of the model year.

I seem to recall the FCR1 uses a carbon fork and seat post. Some like it, some don't. Anyway, the FCR looks like a good choice, as does Giant's Cypress. I own a cypress, and love it. They are both flat bar bikes, but I believe the FCR line leans more towards street and highway riding. Try both, and a few others before making up your mind, and I suggest you work with a shop you feel comfortable with. If you're like me, you may need more support than some.
