Motivation problem update.
I took the past two weeks off the bike completely and this weekend was the first two rides of the new motivated me. It felt great to get out on the bike again and was once again enjoyable.
My wife and I went Friday and then again today to the silver comet trail and rode 36 miles each day. I pulled our daiughter in her chariot while she read books and played with her stuffed animals. Pulling that thing is a workout. We have it loaded with all the diaper stuff and food and fluids for Samantha and ourselves.
I guess it was like adding 70-80 lbs to the bike so I was not riding my fastest pace ever.
It was also our first time to ride this rail to trail project and it will become regular training for me. We got on it well outside of Atlanta close to powder springs where the crowds would be thinner. It was wonderful care free riding with no worries about cars and such.
I will be riding again tomorrow for lactic acid purging and recovery. Wednesday I plan to hit about 60 miles without the baby and see how I feel. Its time to get serious again. Got about 15 pounds to shed as well. I balloned up to about 205 during all my laziness.
