These Mavic rims on EB..anyone use them?

I spotted these rims at the link below. Evidently they are not Open Pros. I called the number given in the auction and they're said to be the older rims directly preceding Open Pros. Anyone use these or have any other information/experience? Many thanks!

They are the SUPS, from before they were just called Open Pros. $57 for a pair is good deal, as long as you have some 28 hole hubs.

Thanks, Rev
Do you know if the weld is a drawback or is that the way the newer OP's are made?

It is the way the Pros(and just about all of Mavics higher end rims are made)
Once the wheel is built there is probably no difference in strength between pegged and welded(which are also pegged) The best thing is no seam for smoother braking.
