How can I meet women while cycling?

I cycle everyday, and see a lot of beautiful women, but they are usually going by too fast for me too say anything to them or else they have kids with them, or they are on the other side of the street, what can I do?

Let's see.. you're in Winnipeg eh? Hmmm, Wait until the fall when they start to slow down (but then you have to add the snow-suit clause)...

Maybe if you strap a case of 2-4 to the back of your bike? That might work!

Is 24 a beer? Use it as a motivation to ride faster It would definately work for me, I dont' see other female cyclist very often when I ride, but the few I do see are gorgeous! How about crashing right when they go by, maybe they will take pitty on you and stop hahaha

Join one of Winnipeg’s many cycling clubs; I think there are a few that will allow slow riders. You will be really popular if you supply the beer! Here is the schedule.

The BEST thing a man ever came up to me and said:

I was at a club with a bunch of my girlfriends, and this guy comes over and says, "I'm not trying to hit on you, but I wanted to tell you that you are the hottest thing in here. Just wanted to give you your props." He said nice to meet ya and went on his way! If I had been attracted to him, I woulda chased him down and dragged him back!!

I say that's the best 'line' I've ever gotten because it was honest (or so I like to believe ), and there was nothing forced about it. If you don't know what to say, say so! "I don't know what to say, but I saw you and wanted to talk to you. Are you single?" She'll feel like you've just given her a huge compliment (he was draaaaaaaawn to me cuz I'm so pretty *winkwink*) and probably be blown away. Voila. And if she has kids with her, that's not something awful that you shouldn't be saying in front of them or something too complicated to explain if she's not single and they ask questions. If she's not single, well hey, you've just made somebody's day, and you can say, "Alright, well nice to have seen ya! Have a nice day!" and take off! If she's going by too fast, well you'll just have to make a fool out of yourself and catch her first!

Running into them might get you their name and number...or at least a call from their attorney.

Go to a club ride and do a rotation pace line. Its like speed dating, you can chat to the woman next to you for a couple minutes and then move on, when you are next to each other again, you can chat a bit more!

That would really fast track things. Most guys don't get a call from the woman's attorney until several years into the realtionship.

Oh, you crazy cyclist, you! The direct approach works really well, if you can chase them down. Walk up to them and ask them "Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

Good luck, boyfriend!

(Oh, it might help if you are riding nekkid!)

I agree, the direct and honest approach is the best. The line that has touched me the most in recent memory is "by the way you're cute". and this came from a road construction worker holding the stop/slow sign as I was waiting for the road to open up again. That one little sentence made the rest of my ride! Have fun hunting!

When I was single I was just too into my ride to fool with flirting but my currtent husband just came up to me at the trail head and asked if I wanted to go mountain biking on a trail up in North carolina. He was drop dead gorgeous and had a great ass so I said yeah. If I was committed or not interested I would at least have been flattered.

i was by the lakeshore, taking a water break just enjoying the sunset..and this guy rode up to me and asked me if i wanted to go for a ride in his boat..
i almost spit out my water while i visualized him towing his boat behind his bike.. i guess my incredulous look and non-answer made him rephrase by saying" oh not tonight, too many waves.."
then i lost it.. and burst out laughing.
we both laughed.. parted ways and i rode the rest of the way back home with a smile.

sometimes a line like that can make you look for that cyclist the next time you are out..
be creative

I always just say "Hi, how are you doing", of course it doesn't sound that way with a polite southern drawl. It kinda sounds like "Hi, how-ya dew-in". I am not particularly handsome, but my wife calls me a "dirt magnet" It seems that every woman we know likes to talk to me at any function we go to. Even the bike trail. She says that the ones that attract to me are a little trashy, but I have had no problem with that either. Just don't bother the ones walking to beat the band, and wearing those ubiquitious fanny packs with a large bulge in them. Best -

theres no harm in being courtious and friendly, it would seem nice if a fellow cyclist would just pass by and say a simple "hello", with a little charming words, it would definitely make a ride worth the while. then if your roads cross again, then it would be a chat, theres still this notion that its better to go smoothly than abruptly in meeting girls
