My New Dash

Hey Folks, If you let your wife smoke you can steal her Marlboro miles and get a GPS. Soon as I saw you could get a handlebar mount I knew I had a new toy

Jeez, another bike rider with a GPS! I thought I was the only one. I would almost bet money that I am the only one in Australia...

I have a Garmin eMap mounted to my Solo Softride with a HUGE RAM mount. Solid as anything. The silly little Garmin bike mount was a total waste of money.

I fnd them useful for the LONG rides - gives me somthing to do to stop the boredom. Very few times have I actually needed it. I mainly use it when I lead club rides myself - I plan the rides beforehand on the PC, then upload them to the GPS.

Dogs are about 4.8% of the "problem-children" on my route. Unfortunately, the balance are of the (semi)human-kind. Seriously, the ratio IS about 20:1 regarding the problems I've had with "drivers" vs. the problems I've had dogs.

Uggggggggggh.

How do you like that mirror? Do you get a full view of the road behind you?

I just bought one of those mirrors this past week. They seem to be better at spotting your competition in a race situation, than cars in a pleasure ride. If I didn't have a wedgie pack on my seat post it would work quite well, especially when you'r in the drops.
It was just a waste of $15 for me!

O well, I guess someone has to be the first!

Zack
It's a Delta mirror that I think I got from Performance but it's not in theirs or Nashbars new catalog.I did a search and the link is one of the results. I don't think I've ever read a review here at BF or anywhere else that someone really liked it. I think it works better than a handlebar mirror. I have a small wedge on my seat and I 'see' under it. I think I usually only look at it when I hear a diesel motor behind me to see whats attached to it, hopefully only a Mercedes 500SL.
