Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Actually, they ride pretty nice! Awesome bikes, but a tad expensive.

Twenty years ago I made a rack for the back of my motorcycle out of bamboo. It was very strong and survived an accident. Bamboo is an amazing material.

Ridden one. It rides a lot like Carbon Fiber frames. A friend in Fort Wayne has one. They built bamboo bikes in India for years, by the way.

I made a 3 feet tall frame backpack out of bamboo for week long hiking trip in mountains - it worked great and I used it for years to carry big loads around.

Cool. i would have expected it to be a little lighter, as did the builder apparently, though I suppose you've gotta use some pretty hefty pieces of bamboo. And it is classy in my eyes. I was expecting a road bike though. When I saw the full build I was a bit surprised

Anyone know the vibration dampening properties of bamboo?
