There aren't too many things I haven't done, including wrenching on bikes for about 8 years. I was in graphic design, but I'm currently finishing my certification to be an art teacher. In the mean time i do photo assistant work and work in a photo and computer lab. you can see my photos (although they are a little outdated) at www.rodvesper.com

Professional dancer (modern and ballet...ah's even gawt a dugree in it) with a day job. I pretend to work as a secretary, but really I goof around on the net, read magazines, file my nails, shoot paper clips in the ceiling, and plot a real career. I'm coasting for the time being and checking out my options with the military. Need a mental challenge and to not be glued to a chair all day.

Programmer/Analyst for an X-bank.
Expecting to be laid off this year which is perfect timing since I have started back to school for a career change. Not sure but am leaning towards physical therapy and sports medicine.

Hey I wanna hear about the weird animals in the sewer too!!!

Damn girl, when do you get out there and ride? I sure don't envy your life at all, although I'm sure you love what you do...

Is that all one job, or do you maintain several jobs?

Its all one job, and not that hard. Trust me I find plenty of time to ride my bike and get into trouble.

I retired last year, at 55, after working for 32 years as a social worker for New York State Office of Mental Health. I used to work with mentally ill drug and alcohol abusers. Now, I'm substitute teaching a few days a week at a pre-school for developmentally disabled kids. Just started biking a year and a half ago.

I've always been fascinated by the number of IT types that are into cycling as judged by all the other lists and sites I frequent. Outnumber the rest of us by a long-shot. Or is it a function of easy access to computers and email services at work that the rest of the cycling population doesn't quite have?

Just curious about the seeming imbalance/ domination/ over-representation... you know what I mean (nicely).

Economist, also have been known to be employed as an attorney, aircraft mechanic, cab driver, insurance salesman, member of three armed forces (never had to worry about sempr fi tho), ski instructor, transportation specialist. Private pilot and bicyclist by avocation. Canonization still appears unlikely.

wow, talk about an archetypical shop. I think most of the
boy racers from the 50's thru 70's in the tristate area
got their start at Kopps.
I would love to rummage around in that basement,
and the attic, well the attic is another story isn't it?

As for IT types and Bikes? well we (IT types) are geeks,
and geeks ride bikes, right?
