Hours per Week Spent At Bike Forums???

Just curious.....how many hours per week on average do you all spend lurking and posting messages on this site? I'm a fairly new member and in less than 3 weeks time, I've posted my first 100 messages. I think I've been averaging about 6 hours per week on this site, maybe more. These hours add up when you're having fun. So how about you?

Seems like about 1 to 2 hours per day for me here, and about 3 to 5 hours a day at AnandTech Forums (I have over 10000 posts there gotta break this computer habit sometime!).

I am on BF 3-4 hours a week. It's the first thing I pull up when I get up in the morning. I have been on BF since last October. I have learned more about cycling/bike maintenance from BF than I have from all other cycling sources over the past 40 years. Keep it up, Joe!

Too much time to be 100% productive at work but I maintain a good balance overall. I restrict myself now to early morning, lunch time and a few mins after work. So far, it works out ok.

About 10-14 hours a week. I enjoy every minute. It's part of my daily routine.

Probably around 15 hours/week. I'm usually pretty busy when I'm online here - although I only really read the threads that interest me unless there's a moderation issue to deal with. As a consequence, this time can vary depending on the topics being discussed at the time. I hardly ever use the chat room, simply because I generally don't get the time.

OK...I live in TO too and its like just after 6 am. I've been up all night and just reading your post. At what time did you get up to go for a ride??? All of the sudden I'm feeling very tired. Oh, wait that's just the midnight shift wearing on me.

I guess I spend a few hours a week on here. I find that I restrict myself to mostly when I'm on nights as its too hard during days to post up when the boss could walk around the corner at any minute. He doesn't mind, although I would want him to see me on the net everytime he comes across my desk.

Ask me this question again in the winter...chances are a few hours becomes many, many hours.

Well I hadn't really thought about it until this thread but I probably spend 4 or 5 hours a week out here. I never spend much time at once but I check back several times through out the day to check on the new posts.

Like other people have said I have learned more about cycling and bikes here in the last few months than I had learned in the last 10 years. Thanks for all of the entertainment and good info.

Perhaps one hour a day total. I read, don't post much.Seven hours a week is not too bad, is it?

I have the site on my computer at work 8hrs a day, and always in the backgound at home. I click "view new posts" once every 30 min or so...

Actual reading and replying to posts? 3hrs a day? *shrug*

Only while I am awake. Otherwise I just dream about being on BF.

WAY too many. It's part of the daily routine - Get up, go to school, get home and check BF, go for a ride and come back and check BF, homework and dinner and then check BF, and go to sleep and dream about my next post on BF (alright....not really - and my schedule isn't really that boring).

At least an hour a day on average. It's part of my research brief.
