Update: bicycle ticket dismissed--won by written declaration . . .

In the above link I asked for advice on how to handle a ticket my husband got in Glendora, CA, while commuting to work. Zeytoun kindly suggested using the "trial by written declaration" which we have found is the way to go. My husband just received the notice that the ticket has been dismissed and that he is to have his bail refunded.
I just wish it told us if the judge dismissed it because of my husband's explanation (versus the Officer's) or if it was dismissed just because the Officer didn't turn in his paperwork!
