I Rode None of My Age Today.

On some subforums it is cool to ride as many miles as you are old on your birthday. I tried that the last two years.

Today, I got up late and decided to race my RC car. I got home after dark and decided to make up the mileage tomorrow. My legs needed another rest day.

It's actually double your age below a certain cutoff.

Consequently, I rode 64 my last bday.

So you are 32?

What is the cutoff? Not sure if my back will take a century tomorrow.

Ooh, Yesterday was my Birthday (17th)

I can't seem to remember the cutoff. Maybe 50? However, I know quite a few 50 year olds who can ride centuries.

Hey Ed, don't feel bad. I started off with good intentions of riding my age on my birthday (the 29th May), but as I'd worked that night, and had packed in 60+ hours of work for the week, I decided to do the ride another day...

Happy birthday, though!

East Hill

And some even do Imperial centuries offroad.

50 miles when you are 50 is hard for some- so imagine a few 70 year olds doing them aswell. Don't knock the oldies- not that you are- but don't try and stay with some of them either.

Hi Stepfam. If you ride your age on a tandem, do you total the ages of the pilot and the stoker?

Inquiring minds want to know. At least my simple mind!!

Age is irrelevant. I've been schooled by teenagers to 70 year olds. Just gives me hope for my future and my son's future.

My birthday is June 3 as well. Last year I did about 36 miles, but this year I only did 30. That's because from now on I'm 30.

Happy Birthday Cosmoline. I may adopt that theory as well.
