    Computer recommendation?

Can someone recommend an inexpensive bike computer just to keep track of mph and distance? I know nothing about them. Where do you put them and are they easy to install? I really don't need one of the fancier ones with many functions. Thanks. Lorraine

I like the Sigma range - cheapish easy to fix, clear displays and waterproof enough. I'm not sure what the most basic model is I'm now on the BC800, but they start at under £10 sterling.

I used a Cateye Mity 3 before upgrading to the
    Astrale (which has cadence).
Nashbar has mity3 for less than 15 dollars
and the Astrale for less than 20.

Make sure the sensor can be fitted to the fork leg. Not all pooters have a long enough strap. Cordless pooters are ok, but sensor and receiver need to be typically line of sight and within 40cm of each other. That can be a bit tricky depending on the amount of 'clutter' between the fork and bar.

I like the Mity3 , and you can get them on clearence for about 15 dollars, It gives you all the functions you need
Speed, Ave Speed, Max speed, Dist 1, Dist 2, Odo, Time, and setup for 2 bikes.. But they are so inexpensive I just buy 1 for each bike....
People usually ask me "Why do you ride?" and I always answer "Because I Can"
