Giant fcr 1 compared to other fitness bikes
 

Is it a good enough bike or would it be better to spend more for a Cannondale rw 800/1000_Trek fx7.6/7-Specialized sirrus pro,etc.

The answer depends on your budget, the type of riding you plan to do (long distance? around the neighborhood? running errands?) and (most important) your fit on the bike.
