Long bike ride in 90+ degree heat- alone...

I'm not complaining, though.

Happy 4th!

I'm planning an early ride over the mountains to the beach where I'll hook up with the rest of the family (they're driving) and some neighbors for a 4th of July picnic. I'll put the bike in the car for the ride back. I figure it'll only be about 40 miles over there.

Happy 4th, everyone!

No real biking plans for the 4th itself (spending most of the day with the wife) but I'm planning on doing a 50-miler (or maybe 60-miler) with ngateguy and another person on the 5th.

The last time you told me to click a link and have the volume on, you scared the livin' doody outta me and called me a porn freak! Well, I hit this link with some trepidation, but it was well worth it...patriotic, surreal, and kind of pretty...a little finding Nemo and a little Uncle Sam. Thanks!

It's supposed to storm here on the 4th. Otherwise I might do some mountain biking.

Happy Independence Day.It's party time!

I will spend the fourth of July helping my cousin set up a fire works display with 4" to 18" tubes and over 4000 pounds of fire works. Most of them are hand made. Maybe this year he will let me fire a few off.

I plan to attend a community event in the morning. Since they're having a patriotic bike decoration contest for the kids, I'll probably show up with my red-white-and-blue Schwinn mountain bike.

How can you have the 4th without BBQ? I just purchased two bottles of stubb's marinade, spicy BBQ sauce and ~$12 worth of steaks last night! I think i need to go get some gas for my grill, better check that tonight.

I'm sure i'll get out on the bike, but dont have a plan on distance / time yet.

Happy Indepence day! You treasonous traitors (only joking).

I'm rather jealous though as you Americans get a day off right before the Tour de France.

Have a good one, Portent.

See... it's moments like these when we really ought to (or at least want to) know where Joe lives.

I'll be working, but I'm gonna try to get in a few miles in the morning, before I go in. And I think I might be having a BBQ after work, not too sure though.

Have a good one everybody!

Gonna try a ride in the morning (if my back will allow it)
then a nice Braai Vliess (sp?), or Grilling for everyone who
doesn't understand Afrikaans.
Ribs, Sausage, dogs, corn, peppers and portabello mushrooms
over real honest to god charcoal, and NOT briquettes.
then go to fireworks/CCR concert.

I'm doing a long (for me) morning ride of about 20 miles, followed by a nice day of walking around the town where Independence was born: Philadelphia.
