Cycling on the 4th of July Anyone?
I was going kayaking in the dark in San Francisco Bay to watch the Sausalito fireworks but couldn't find a partner to go with me. Guess I'll have to pedal ~800 feet up the ridge behind the house to watch several sources of fireworks in the North Bay area at the same time. As well as the 1,000s of illegal fireworks being set off as several police forces try to catch the perps.
What kinds of plans do the rest of you have? Hopefully nothing like the Darwin Award candidate I saw yesterday. He was cycling on the sidewalk next to busy traffic, hands-free, while using his cell phone.

I may commute to work that day, but nothing special.
However, I would like to do a good ride on July 1st!! I'd love to go see the fireworks that evening, but I think they'll be on too late for me to feel comfortable cycling to them.
