    Saris Bones RS

Any thoughts on the Saris Bones RS? Supposedly, you can lock it and leave it on the car as well as open the trunk with it on. But are the 2 steel bands really better than the 6 straps that the Bones 3 has? And is it worth the extra $100?

One more thing. Since I would put my bike, my wife's bike and my kid's bike (she's 11) on the rack, would I need the bike beam for both my wife's bike and my kid's bike? Or will the straps be large enough to accomodate a child's bike? Does anyone have experience with this?

Guess I'm the only one responding to my posts but...

I looked at the Nashbar frame adaptor to use with the Saris rack. The website says the Nashbar adaptor is 24-31.5". The distance between my wife's seat post and handlebar is only 21" and my kid's is even smaller. Can 24-31.5" be correct? That doesn't sound right.

Good questions... I am wondering the same things. Anyone with any input?
